Warning! This Steamfast Handheld cleaner (that I am sending back immediately) is very poorly made. The steaming water spills out creating a dangerous mess (and yes, I filled it EXACTLY as the instructions stated) and ultimately it did not work very well (in fact boiling water works WAY better than this Handheld piece of junk and it’s way cheaper too). Please don’t waste your time or money (and it’s also very cumbersome and the instructions are poorly written… I could go on but you get the point). What a waste of time & money.

The Steamfast is great at those annoying chores like removing grime from counters, tubs, cleaning up spilled wax and grease. Those tasks generally mandate hours of scrubbing and sometimes little results are seen. I find I still need light chemicals to assist with tasks, but it does shave off time for those tough clean-ups as well as effort. For the price, you can’t really beat what this little guy does. It saves me a lot of effort and helps me keep my kitchen and bath clean. I do find that it does drip excess water while steaming when I need to attack something at a certain angle (like from the side), but in general it works well. It is a little annoying that it needs to re-juice (cool down, re-fill, heat-up) after 8 minutes of steam time, but considering I’m not paying $2000 for a steam cleaner that can go like the energizer bunny, I think it’s abilities are good for the price. It works well for the little tasks I have put it to and I consider it as an assistant for everyday chores so things don’t build up and I can clean easily. The attachments work far better than I thought they would, particularly the window attachment and the brushes. This little cleaner is really designed to quickly clean annoying everyday chores, like counters, window sills, mirrors, and it does an excellent job at handling individual and small tasks (one window or task at a time). It is not designed or even priced for cleaning up a full house.
Those who need something with a bit more flexibility and “oomph” should consider a real steam cleaner which will be far more expensive. I’m more than satisfied with the help my little guy provides, although for bigger tasks, like floors, grout, the full shower (not just the tub and hardware), I’d recommend something that can steam for longer periods at a time, like the WhiteWing steam cleaner (my big guy), which is relatively inexpensive for such a high quality steam cleaner.

I have just wasted $34. This item doesn’t work. I was so excited and was glad when the steam cleaner arrived. I read instructions and went to work. Well tried to work. Yes it shot out steam but that’s all. It doesn’t power away grease, dirt or grime. In fact I couldn’t tell any difference after using. Please save your money — don’t believe what anyone says — it just doesn’t clean or get rid of dirt, grease or grime. I’m out $34. Going to place in back in the box and file under waste of money.
